Agnes K. Teufel

Agnes K. Teufel, of Hannah City Illinois, passed away on December 27, 2023 at Carle Proctor Hospital in Peoria Illinois. Born April 3, 1938 in Peoria, she married Frederick A “Bud” Teufel Jr on November 24, 1956 in Peoria, they were married 59 years. Bud passed away on May 18, 2015.

Surviving her son Frederick A. Teufel III of Peoria; daughter-in-law Terrie Teufel of Peoria; son-in-law Jim Bush of Peoria; brother Bill (Theresa) Remington of Hanna City; sister-in-laws Joyce Broadstone of Bartonville & Virginia Broadstone of Peoria. She was also preceded in death by son Scott Teufel; daughters Michelle “Chellie” McCarthy & Michaelen Bush; brother Jim Manning; and sister Mary Lou Pyat.

Agnes, with her husband Fred, were foster parents for the Catholic Social Services in Peoria from 1959 until 1968. She then went to work for Durock Certified Pedigree Swine as a registrar from 1968 until retiring in 2014.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved hiking all things to do with nature yardwork, just being outside, sports, history and reading.
