Akeem David Alexander

Akeem David Alexander, 28 of Peoria Illinois, died on August 28, 2023 in Peoria. He born in Scott County, Iowa on February 18, 1995 to Birth Father Barney Willis and  Birth Mother Royann Hill. Adopted and raised by George Sr. and Jenell Alexander of Peoria, .

 

Akeem is survived by his three daughters, Dakota Alexander, Willow Alexander and Scarlett Alexander of Peoria Il: seven brothers, Andrew Edwards, Timothy Carpenter, Brandon Willis, Brion Alexander, George Alexander, Jr, of Peoria, IL, Jordan (Kelly) of Kewanee, Il: and Matthew Alexander of Daytona Beach, FL  three sisters Whitney Craig, Amber Alexander, Ida Alexander of Peoria Il, and a host of nieces and nephews.  

 

He was proceeded in death by his son ,Zaiden Alexander and his grandparents.

 

Akeem worked at Bella Elevator LLC, Peoria, IL

 

Akeem was a loving father to his cherished girls and angel to his son in heaven. His laughter was infectious, his love boundless. A free spirt who danced to his own rhythm.  Akeem never hesitated to wear his heart on his sleeve. He was an anchor in a storm, the first to stand up for those he loved in every role he played from father to friend.  In remembering Akeem, we celebrate a life filled with passion, laughter and unwavering love. 

 

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on September 16, 2023 from 11am - 1pm at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com
