Andrew J Sigmund

Andrew J Sigmund, 31, of Henry Illinois died on November 30, 2024 at OSF Richard L. Owens hospice home.

Andrew was born February 18, 1993 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Noel and Sandy (Roper) Sigmund. Sandy moved back to the Lacon Illinois area in 2004 where Drew and Ashleigh’s story began. They met their sixth-grade year when she told him, from first sight, they would be married one day. That day came February 28, 2014. they later welcomed three beautiful children Preston Noel, Kennee Clare, and Emery Ida, who were his whole world. he is also survived by his mother, Sandy and of course, his wife Ashleigh Plus so many family members, friends, and other patients in the journey. Ashley and Drew were married three days shy of 15 years.

Drew was an avid PC gamer but enjoyed all gaming systems. he also was a firearms enthusiast. In 2020 Andrew and his family built their own gun range and began building firearms. This love stemmed from his avid hunting and fishing for sport. He also loved JDM cars and motorcycles. Nothing seemed boring to Andrew. He had a huge love of learning. Anyone could talk to him for a couple of minutes and he’d research everything on a topic. If someone needed help, he was your guy.

Andrew‘s love of helping allowed him to be the best CNA hands-down. Drew worked for 13 years before he was diagnosed with stage four ACC – a rare genetic cancer. Andrew battled for one year seven months and two days.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at later day.
