Brenda Marie Clark

Brenda Marie Clark, 71, of Washington, Illinois, passed away on November 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Peoria, Illinois, on January 12, 1953, to the late Daniel W. Jr. and Nora R. (Day) Gunther. 

Brenda is survived by her sons, Josh (Sabrina) Clark and Jason Clark, both of Peoria; one granddaughter, Georgia Clark of Morton; one sister, Cindy (Mike) Beatty of East Peoria; one nephew, Matthew (Sarah) Eggena & family of Washington; one niece, Christina (Alicia) Eggena & family of Creve Coeur.

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Brenda was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, calling Busch Stadium her "happy place." She enjoyed watching football, her Cardinals and HGTV. She also liked to knit, journal, do crossword puzzles, and a cozy pair of pajamas. She had a huge heart and an incredible love of animals, especially her cats. Yet, her biggest joy was seeing her granddaughter, Georgia. 

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of Brenda's life and her love of animals, donations may be made to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, Illinois 61554 and condolences can be left at www.illinicremation.com
