Charles D. Engelbrecht

Charles D. Engelbrecht, 74, of Henry Illinois, died on August 28, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on February 6, 1948 in Spring Valley to the late Albert and Mary (York) Engelbrecht,.
Charles was of the owner and operator of Triple C Lawn and Garden since 1994. He was also an over the road truck driver for several years
Charlie is survived by his son Calvin (Kelli) Engelbrecht of Lacon; daughter Corry Engelbrecht of Peru; granddaughter Kennedi (Thomas) Conrad of Rathdrum Idaho; grandson Jaylen Modro of Rathdrum Idaho; sisters Kathy Siedenberg of Mount Carroll Illinois, Dorothy Wallace of Leesburg Florida, Alicia (Norman) Soderberg of Galt California, Helen Dunn of Windmer Florida, Rose Stackhouse of Diamondhead Mississippi ;brothers Duane (Jan) Engelbrecht of Bradenton Florida, Edward (Janet) Engelbrecht of Crossville Tennessee, John Engelbrecht of Princeton, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by Sister Ruth Toal and brothers Joseph, James, Frank, and Paul Engelbrecht.
Charlie enjoyed his mowing business and the customers that he cared for.He could often be found enjoying a coffee or iced tea with friends or with his coffee group in Henry. He liked to catch a local live country band now and then, and was fond of Chevy trucks, oldies on the radio, attending auctions, and getting a good deal at the grocery store.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Stroke Association or the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.  illinicremation.com is assisting the family.
