Charlotte A. "Charley" Colwell

Charlotte A. Colwell ”Charley”, age 56, beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, family member, and friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at her home in Chillicothe. 
She was born December 16, 1965, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of the late Sandy Brian and Chuck Cory. Charlotte was married to Jeremy Colwell at the time of her death.  
Her daughter, Kayla M. Kingsley (Travis McClanahan) of Marquette Heights, son, Jeffrey R. Kingsley of Chillicothe, and six grandchildren, Nevaeh and Tristan McClanahan, Raylynn, Trinity, Kiarah, and Camdyn Kingsley survive her.  Two babies Michael and Jesse Whiting preceded her in death. Her sisters, Jena (Dale) Stenzel, Angie Keith, and Bobbie Jo (Jason) Karrick of Chillicothe; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive her.
Charlotte always had a smile on her face and a big heart for anyone that needed her help. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Charlotte enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and collecting discarded items to refurbish and give to others.
Cremation rites have been accorded with burial in the Chillicothe Cemetery. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Sunday July 31, 2022, from 1 – 4 p.m., at the Peoria Casting Club in Chillicothe, IL.
