Clyde J. Berndt

Clyde J. Berndt, 76, of Oregon Illinois, died on March 6, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Clyde was born to the late Louis and Clarissa (Streeck) Berndt in Elgin Illinois on June 14 1945.
 Clyde served in Vietnam during the Vietnam war as Sp/4 combat engineer with the 14th Engineers building roads and bunkers.
He worked as a warehouse man for the Howell Company in St. Charles, IL.
Clyde is survived by his brother Charles (Mariann) of McHenry; nieces Maria Friend,Chris Notto,and Melanie Johnson; great niece Stephanie (Ian) Fiester. Great nephew Kyle Friend, great-great nephews Ashley and Marcus Fiester; cousins Ronald(Carol)Berndt, Julie Berndt(Mark Trester), Larry(Kathleen)Dustan, and aunt Annette Berndt. 
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, WI at a later date. illinicremation.com has assisted the family
