David Keith Legg

David Keith Legg, 71, of Chauncey Illinois, died on April 6, 2024 at OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born on February 7, 1953 to Robert and Mary (Smith) Legg, Dave was a machinist at the Roadmaster Bicycle Factory in Olney Illinois for over 30 years. He was a proud member of AFL-CIO Laborers Union Local 503 in Olney.

Dave loved to fiddle with his computer, making music CDs and putting pictures on DVDs. He also played games and made cards for his family and friends.

Dave is survived by his mother Mary Legg of Evans Georgia; his best friend of 30 years and caregiver Lisa Chitwood-Ward of East Peoria Illinois; Brothers Bret (Libby) Legg of Evans Georgia, and Todd (Debbie) Legg of Plainview Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Robert.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Dave will be buried in Chauncey Cemetery in Chauncey. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com.
