Debra Lynn Franz

Debra Lynn Franz, 66, of Chillicothe Illinois, died on December 31, 2023 at Arc Skilled Care in Chillicothe. She was born in Chicago on December 11, 1957 to the late Charles and Joan (Ardisana) Menz.
Debra was an Off Track Betting teller at Landmark for many years, as well as having worked at various places around Peoria such as Madison Park Bank, the original Jim’s Steakhouse, and VOP’s. She was a talented artist and in her later years loved puzzles. She was a kind and loving mother, grandma, daughter, sister and friend who loved everyone she met and never knew a stranger.
Debra is survived by her son Anthony Franz of Chillicothe; daughter Nicole (Trent) Gill of Chillicothe; husband (separated) Tom Franz of Chillicothe; sister Sue (Ed) Sleva of Laura Illinois; sister Dawn (David) Olivera of Chicago; grandson Ian Gill of Chillicothe; granddaughter Ivy Gill of Chillicothe; two nieces, Sandy and Gabi, and seven nephews, Micah, Jake, Max, Michael, Alex, Chris, and Jon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her identical twin sister Dora Menz.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com.
