Don A. Eckard

Don A. Eckard, 84, of Bradford, died on August 29, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born on August 7, 1938 in Princeton Illinois to the late Walter and Daisy (Dahl) Eckard, he married Evelyn Seidell on June 29, 1957 and had two Children. Evelyn died on August 25, 2007. He later married Sandra Lea Demar on March 17, 2011 in Florida.
Don worked at Caterpillar for over 30 years retiring in 1999 as a foreman. Don loved to fly small his aircraft and traveling in his boat or motorhome over the years.
Don is survived by his wife Sandra at home; daughter Debora Vogel of Trivoli; step children Joey Thompson of southern IL; Step daughters Mitzie Krieger of Poplar Grove, Molly (Rob) Bakulski of Inglewood FL; 14 grandchildren; and many great grands and even Great-Great Grandchildren.He was also preceded in death by his infant sister Joy, his son Danny and grandson Zachary.
Cremation rites have been accorded there will be no services at this time. Memorials can be made to The ARK Animal Shelter in Lacon IL and  illinicremation.com has assisted the family.
