Donald Carlyle Sanders

Donald Carlyle Sanders, 79, of Chillicothe Illinois, died on November 28, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on November 12, 1943 to the late Archie and Mary (Broadstone) Sanders he married Barbara Lea Kerner on April 11, 1964 in Wenona Illinois.
Don spent over 40 years in the beer industry as an electrical supervisor at Pabst Brewery company in Peoria Heights for 28 years and 13 years at Miller Brewery Company in Milwaukee WI. as an operations manager. He later owned Dockside Restaurant in Chillicothe for 10 years. He loved boating with family and friends and cooking a good meal. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and loving his dogs.
Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Sanders of Chillicothe; children Brian Sanders & Jennifer (William) Angel both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Sydnie (Keith Yarger) Angel of Chillicothe, Jackson (Ashley) Sanders of Canton, Cynthia (Hunter Brakebill) Angel of Chillicothe. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Ann Sanders and his four brothers; Archie, Burt, Cyrus & Gene Sanders.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Don’s name can be made to The Ark Animal Shelter in Lacon IL. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at Illinicremation.com
