Everett Ronold Boers, 53, of Sparland, IL passed away on April 4, 2025 in Peoria, IL at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Everett was born on April 1, 1972 in Peoria, IL to the late Everett G. and Sandra (Pollock) Boers.
“Ron”, “Ronnie”, “2 Bolt”, or just “Bolt” loved working on cars. He enjoyed the demolition derby races and horses. Ron's formidable work ethic was instilled early in life, shaped by his formative years spent laboring on neighboring farms. This hands-on experience proved more valuable than his formal education at Sparland High School, where he was known as a "Sparland Hilltopper." His innate mechanical aptitude propelled him into a diverse and fulfilling career, where he excelled in roles such as window manufacturing, abatement, and both agricultural and consumer mechanics.
Ron was a man of simple values, content with his earnings and never desiring more than he was due. For him, money was merely a tool, not a measure of success. His true passions lay in fixing, riding, and occasionally breaking anything with a motor. He could often be found tinkering away in his garage, immersed in his latest project, be it a car, motorcycle, or lawnmower.
His legend transcended his local community in Marshall County, reaching across state lines and into neighboring communities. Ron's friendly and approachable nature made him a beloved figure, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support to anyone in need, regardless of the situation. He may not have always been expressive with his emotions, but his love ran deep, and he was cherished by those he left behind to share his story.
Ron's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the machines he fixed, and the memories he created. He was a man who embodied the values of hard work, self-sufficiency, and community spirit. His story is a reminder that true wealth lies not in material possessions, but in the relationships we build and the impact we have on the world around us.
He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Boers; sister Rosezona (Brian) Long; partner Lisa Rocco; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews. Many friends will miss Ron.
