George Bernard Crawford

George Bernard Crawford, 75, of Peoria Illinois, died on January 30, 2024 at The Loft in Peoria. Born on July 15,1948 in Amityville, New York to the late John and Ruth (Carl) Crawford. He married Arlene Horvath on September 5, 1970 in Randolph Wisconsin. She preceded him in death in 2006.

George attended Bradley University which is where he met Arlene.  After graduation in 1970, the two were married and settled in the Peoria area.  He was always proud of his family and worked hard through many different adventures to provide a good life.  We will all remember the good times.  His struggles are now no more.

He is survived by his three proudest accomplishments, his three daughters, Sheila (Jim) Lawless and Carla (Jack) Jockisch, both of Peoria, and Emily (Michael) Johnson of Nashville Tennessee; sisters Joan (Tony) Steinle, and Ann Crawford both of Farmingdale, New York; Ten grandchildren, Bethany, Charlie, Cassie and Ellie Lawless, Sam, Sidney, Calvin and Louis Jockisch, and Brooks and Ryan Johnson.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and funeral services will be held at a later date. Donations can be sent to Pathway Ministries (formally known as Peoria Rescue Ministries) who helped Dad through some of his worst times.  Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com
