John Henry Ellington

John Henry Ellington, 67, of Chillicothe Illinois, died on December 26, 2023 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria Illinois. Born in Peoria on November 8, 1956 to the late Vearl and Zelma (Gomer) Ellington, he married Cynthia Buxton on March 30, 1992, she survives.

John is also survived by daughters Tonya Ellington of Peoria, Mollee (D'Andre) Ellington of Peoria; son John (Jessica) Ellington of Bartonville; sisters Judy (Dave) Clemons, Becky (Bob) Shoreack, Linda (Jerry) Belcher; brothers Olen (Mary) Ellington, Kevin (Loretta) Ellington, Arthur Ellington; grandsons Keon Nichols, Isaack Ellington, Adam Ellington; granddaughters Kamree Ellington, Shantel Nichols, Savannah Ellington, great grandsons Keon Nichols & Kamryn Diggins. He was also preceded in death by daughter Jaimee Ellington; sisters Carol Dorothy & Peggy Ellington, and grandson Eric Nichols.

John loved fishing and spending time with his family.
