Karen Sue Fialkowski

Karen Sue Fialkowski, 74, of Delevan Illinois, passed away on October 31^st, 2023 at a OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on November 14, 1948 to the late Arthur and RoseMarie (Hlavaty) Antes. She married Thaddeus (Ted) Fialkowski on July 15^th, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. Ted passed away March 22, 2010.

Karen was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed life and was always kind to anyone she met. Karen was a woman of strong catholic faith. When she was able to, she attended the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Immaculate Conception in Delavan. She worked for School of the Deaf in Chicago as a transportation aide and a cook. She also waitressed at different restaurants throughout her younger years.  She had a love for coffee at any time of day. You'd find her home filled with potted plants as she could keep anything alive. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy! She was also known as everyone's "Porch Grandma" in Delavan as you would find her always sitting on her porch, neighborhood watching and waving at all who passed by. The family of Karen will forever be grateful for the Delavan community and all they did to help her in any way.

Survivors include her children, son Rich (Kimberly) Fialkowski of Marshfield, Missouri and son Markie Fialkowski of Arizona; grandchildren Tabitha Fialkowski of Valley Falls, KS, Sara (Tanner) Lassiter of Denison, KS, Richie (Darcie) Fialkowski of Manhattan, KS, Bailey (Tucker) Jones of Tennessee, Ariana (Michael) Fialkowski of Illinois, Ronica Fialkowski of Illinois; great grandchildren Addison, Alannah, Maddelyn, Adley,  Luca, Violet, Jasper, Jaidyn, Jordyn, Emma and god children Chris(Susana) Rivosecchi, Lauren Rivosecchi. Surviving siblings include Diane (Alan) Johnson and Alice Rivosecchi both of Chicago, Illinois and Rosie Gibbens of Johnson City, Illinois.
