Linda Sue Jones, 61, of West Peoria Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 at the Loft in Canton Illinois. Born on April 11, 1961 in Peoria to James and Sharon (Heberer) Elam, she married Marvin Jones on July 22, 1989 in Peoria. He survives.
Linda was an employee for OSF St. Francis for over 25 years in the Housekeeping Department. She enjoyed traveling with her family to Minnesota each year and the views of the lake. She also liked spending time with the family cats Chester & Roo and also the family bearded dragon Nagini. She also had a love of dolphins, lighthouses and loved to oil paint in the spring time. One of her favorite outings was mini golf with her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Marvin at home; her parents James and Sharon Elam of Peoria; only daughter Hayley Jones of Peoria, brothers James (Lynn) Elam of Manhattan KS, Earl Elam of Peoria and, one sister Tammy Elam of Peoria, and a handful of nephews. She was a proud member of First Christian Church in Creve Coeur IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the West Peoria Fire Department in Linda’s name and illinicremation.com is assisting the family.
