Penny Kay Henry

Penny, K Henry, 63, of Victoria Illinois, died on May 9, 2023 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria Illinois. Born on October 30, 1959 in Galesburg Illinois to the late Judge and Margaret (Melton) Mathews, she met Richard Henry in 1975 in Galesburg and they were married on July 11, 1980 in Oregon, Illinois.

Penny is survived by her husband Richard at home; children Levi Henry of Peoria, Jessup Henry of Victoria, Starlyn Henry of Galesburg, sibling Paul Mathews; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, David and Rick Mathews, Faye Cooper, Pat Simpson, and Sheila Watson.

Penny loved spending time with the grandchildren, going to Las Vegas, sewing and crafting. Her favorite times were cookouts with family & friends and anything that had to do with Native American culture. She also attended GraceWay Church of God in East Galesburg.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Alabama with her parents. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com.
