Ronald Karl Ramsey

Ronald Karl Ramsey, 78, of Herscher, Illinois, but recently residing at a
rehab center in East Peoria, Illinois, died on July 15, 2023, at Carle
Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on December 26,
1944, in Joliet, Illinois, to the late Raymond and Narcissa (Kane)
Ramsey.
Ron was an insurance adjuster for several companies, including General
Adjustment Bureau, Transamerica, and Lou Rogers Adjustment Service
for over 45 years. He started his career after graduating from Southern
Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. He worked his way up through
the ranks to achieve the title, Property General Adjuster, and was highly
thought of for his expertise as a property insurance adjuster.
Ron belonged to the Commodore 64 Computer Club when it was just starting out in
Bourbonnais, IL. He loved studying about World War II aircraft, and analyzing and
understanding American history. He was an excellent photographer and would always insist
on taking photos at most family gatherings as everyone was leaving. It gave the family a
small window of our history as we could go back and see how the families grew and got older
through the years.
Ron is survived by his children: Kathryne (Michael), Tanner of Des Moines, Iowa; Richard
Ramsey, Naperville, Illinois; Ryan (Vanessa), Ramsey of Noblesville, Indiana. Grandchildren,
Miranda Tanner, Leanna Tanner, Des Moines, Iowa and Autumn Ramsey, Blake Ramsey, and
Calvin Ramsey Noblesville, Indiana. He was also predeceased by a sister, Barbara Mayo.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at the Herscher
Methodist Church, Herscher, IL, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Visitation at 9:30 am, service
at 10:30 am. Burial will be 1:00 pm at Memorial Gardens, Kankakee, Illinois. Cards and
