Samuel J Sickles

Joe Sickles, 78, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family.

Joe was born on April 14, 1944, in East Peoria, IL, to Joe Sickles Sr and Leona P Sickles.   Joe graduated from the Academy of Our Lady/Spalding Institute, retired from Caterpillar, and was a Mason at the Frank N Nicole Lodge #1170 Creve Coeur, IL. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose (Sally) Mills, and Beverly Martin. 

Joe is survived by two sisters, Donna Hatten and Rosie Hatten (husband Lee), four children, Scarlet Sickles, Kim Harris, Joe Sickles, and Alan Sickles, and four grandkids, Sammy, Colton Anastasia Sophia Sickles.

Joe loved watching the Green Bay Packers and, more importantly, torturing his friends who cheered for the Chicago Bears.   Joe is quoted as being the most ornery and nicest man you’ll ever meet.  He never let his kids go without.  His kids loved him dearly and will be forever thankful for everything he did for them. RIP, dad; we love you.
