Sandra Ann Ross

Sandra Ann Ross, 68, of Peoria Heights Illinois, died on September 6, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owen Hospice Home in . Born on September 28, 1953 in Peoria to the late Derald and Minnie (Purtle) Haahn, she married Herbert Ross on August 18, 1980 in Fond Du Lac Park in East Peoria.They recently had celebrated their 42 anniversary.
Sandra became a LPN at St Francis in the 1970’s and was an activities aide at St. Claire Home. She also was a homemaker and loved all her different pets over the years, from dogs and cats to birds and rats. She loved spending time with Herbie, especially when he took her craft shopping and out to a good meal. Painting and working with miniatures were some of the things that kept her busy over the years. She loved her sweet boy and the family that he raised.
Sandra is survived by her husband Herbie at home, son John (Jamie) Ross of Pekin; grandkids Jennifer Ross, John (Tori) Ross, Justin Ross, and Janelle Ross; brothers Mike & Steve Haahn; sisters Denise O’Connell & Janice King and great grandchildren Caleb & Jordan. She was also preceded by her sister Sally Ayers.It can be said that the world is a little brighter and gentler because Sandy lived.
