Sandra "Sandy" Hattan

Sandra (Sandy) Lee Hattan, 77, of Washington, IL passed away of natural causes on July 24, 2023 at Carle Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Born on April 7th, 1946 in Peoria to the late Henry and June (Curtis) Hopkinson, she married Gerry Hattan in 1964 in Lacon, IL. He preceded her in death in 2021.                                                                      

She began her life as the oldest of six siblings, Judy (Mike) Montgomery, Robbie (Linda) Hopkinson, the late David Hopkinson, Karen (Stan) Smith, and Darlene Hopkinson.

From the time she was a young lady, through her 30 years working at Caterpillar, until the day she passed, her life was nonstop caring and worrying about her loved ones.

She was the true meaning of the teaching of the gospel. She provided wisdom, strength, love, patience, sympathy, and discipline when needed all the while being the most caring, humble, and kind human being one could know.

 Sandy's love and presence will be greatly missed. Especially by her children Tena (Todd) Braun, Tory (Cindy) Hattan, Tara Hattan and her six grandchildren Tanner, Trevor, Brittany, Jessica, Tatum, and Tucker who she tirelessly loved unconditionally. We have all been blessed by our new guardian angel.                                                                   

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. She would just want us to cherish the gift of life and love every moment that we have left in this physical world. Cards can be sent from and condolences can be left at illinicremation.com
