Shirley Roselle Higby

Shirley Roselle Higby, 91, of Peoria Heights passed away on April 13, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 02, 1934 in Oregon, Missouri to John and Lena (Pullen) Wilson. She married Robert L. Higby in 1953. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and four other siblings: John Wilson, Nancy Suppenbach, Larry Wilson, and Judy Hall.

Shirley was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Christian believer, and artist. She attended high school in Oregon MO and Sunnydale academy in Centralia MO. She lived in the Kansas City MO area for seven years where she worked in card design at Hallmark, in Southern California for 10 years, and in Peoria Illinois area 56 years. She owned a stained glass studio and produced many fine pieces of art.  She also worked in her husband's construction business.  Shirley loved music and enjoyed singing in women's choirs and teaching children piano.

She is survived by Robert Higby (son) of Washington MO, Deborah Engelkemier (daughter) of Hendersonville NC, Richard Higby (son) of Palmyra NE, David Wilson (brother) of Grants Pass OR, Linda Williamson (sister) of Kansas City MO, Clare Puckett (sister) of Savannah MO, 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins.
