Terry L Inman “Wacko”, 79, of Hanna City, died on April 1, 2022, at his residence. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time.
Born on March 15, 1943 in Quincy Illinois to the late Virgil and Irene (Schaefer) Inman he married Antha Irene Frazell on June 7, 1964, she passed away on September 24,1989.
He was in the Army from 1960-63, serving 18 months in Korea.
Terry was a Sales Representative for different companies and their products to retail vendors throughout his career. He sold for Liggett-Myers Tobacco Company, Nexxus Hair Care and Curtis Industries, a supplier for hardware stores. At the end of his working career and into semi-retirement, Terry drove a taxi for 15 years for most of the cab companies in Peoria.
Terry is survived by a daughter, Terri Lynn Inman-Oesterle-Klein of Washington; one son Christopher "Cap" (Rhonda) Inman of Peoria. One sister, Marty (Bill) Weber of Edwards, one brother, Rick (Annette) Inman of Peoria; grandchildren Taylor Osterle, Kyrie Klein, Kailyn Klein and Madison Inman; great grandsons Will and Pierce; and 3 bonus grandkids with 6 bonus great grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his neighbor of the past 5 years, Marilyn, who became a great friend to Terry and a great help in looking after him in his final months.
Terry was also preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie & Randy and granddaughter Chelsea.
Terry never met a stranger and he seemed to know someone every place he went. A true salesman and story-teller at heart. He also had a creative side, penning many poems and writings over the years. He had a love for words and had many sayings that have been passed down to the next generation. He was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan and especially enjoyed listened to the games on the radio in the summer evenings. He helped coach Little League teams and never missed game a game of Capper's. He ended most encounters simply by saying "Toodles", so that is how this will end. Toodles.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date and his remains will be buried with Antha at the Lutheran Cemetery.
