It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Thomas Charles Adams, of Peoria, Illinois, at the age of 75. Born to the late Bertha May and (TC) Thomas Charles Adams, he was a cherished brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of vibrant stories and loving memories. He is survived by his aunt, Pearline McCall; his brother, partner, and best friend, Pastor Jackie Adams; his devoted son, Aaron Adams; his adoring nieces, Kim Adams, Philease Adams, and Karla Adams; and his favorite nephew internationally renowned gospel singer and songwriter, Julius Adams and a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Thomas was a man of culture and charisma, possessing a charm that could indeed sell water to a well and salt to a snail. In his later years, he found joy in selling watermelons from the back of his red truck with his dog shadow by his side, a simple pleasure that brought smiles to many faces.
Despite life's ups and downs, Thomas found solace and strength in his faith. He embraced grace and mercy with a smile and an open heart, often sharing his journey through generous acts, like giving away a watermelon or a heartfelt hug.
As he reflected on his life, Thomas realized the divine purpose and plan that transcended his earthly existence. His last wish for all who knew him was to love the Lord with all your heart.
Thomas made his transition amongst family and friends in the comfort of his home, he accepted Christ as his personal savior and prayed for those who had not.
Thomas's warmth, wisdom, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace, watching over us until we meet again.
A celebration of Thomas's life will be held on 05/18/2024, at Faith Ministries 3020 W Rohmann Ave, West Peoria, IL 61604, at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Faith Ministries, a ministry close to Thomas's heart. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com
